US healthcare spending will reach nearly 20% of GDP by 2025, fueled by changes in economic growth and population aging. Consumerism in healthcare, fueled by human insights, will be critical to ensure the success of healthcare organizations in the region. P&G Alumni Network, UC Health and University of Cincinnati present a 1-day symposium dedicated to advancing healthcare leadership in the city of Cincinnati, designed to share ideas, talents and resources with each other and our community. The event will engage entrepreneurs and thought leaders in the region to spark innovation in prevention, management and care delivery of health.
University of Cincinnati
The University of Cincinnati offers students a balance of educational excellence and real-world experience. UC is a public research university with an enrollment of more than 44,000 students and has been named "Among the top tier of the Best National Universities," according to U.S. News & World Report.
Today, more than a quarter-million living alumni count themselves as Bearcats — united not just by their loyalty to our nationally known sports teams, but by their common love of the place, the people and the ideas that make up the University of Cincinnati.
UC Health brings together the region’s top clinicians and researchers to provide world-class care to the Cincinnati community and beyond. From our flagship University of Cincinnati Medical Center to our state-of-the-art West Chester Hospital, UC Health delivers the absolute best in treatment and care.
Continually recognized for excellence and backed by the academic strength of the University of Cincinnati, one of the nation’s top 25 public research universities, UC Health is revolutionizing how discovery-driven care is delivered. Because our physicians are teachers and researchers at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, they are able to provide our patients with high-quality and innovative medical treatment and care.
With Cincinnati’s largest and most distinguished group of board-certified physicians practicing in every medical and surgical specialty, UC Health can offer patients what no other physician group, hospital or health system in our community can – access to the best and brightest minds who are deeply passionate about solving the most complex medical cases. Simply put, when it matters most, our expert physicians are the ones to call.
The P&G Alumni Network - Cincinnati Chapter
The P&G Alumni Network is a nonprofit organization founded by alumni to help former P&G employees stay connected. Our mission is to share ideas, talents and resources with each other and with our communities. We are not formally connected with the Procter & Gamble Company, however the company is supportive of our efforts. Membership to the Network is open to any person who has been employed by P&G at any time, in any function or capacity. It includes both retirees and those still actively engaged in professional careers outside of P&G.
We are an alumni family and we can prove it. We learned the same P&G nicknames (acronyms). We learned the same values (PVP). When meeting for the first time, we must know who we know in common. We believe in the company hired smart, hard working, and dedicated people with integrity. That makes catching up interesting because alumni are always making something interesting happen. Importantly, we believe in connection. There are 5,000 of us in Cincinnati; enough to find almost any common interest.
1819 Innovation Hub
The completion of the 1819 Innovation Hub, the physical manifestation of the university’s innovation agenda, is a major milestone for UC’s Next Lives Here strategic direction. In addition to serving as the front door to the university, 1819 anchors the Uptown Innovation Corridor, which business and community leaders expect will attract industry, investment and collaboration.
“The 1819 Innovation Hub is one of the key pathways of our Next Lives Here strategic direction,” said UC President Neville Pinto. “As 1819 begins its work with an all-star line of partners already signed on, we look forward to creating a new and powerful dynamic in Cincinnati’s innovation ecosystem.”
UC Alumni and Bicentennial
In 1870, the City of Cincinnati established the University of Cincinnati, which absorbed both predecessor institutions.
Today, 200 years later, Drake’s legacy lives on. The University of Cincinnati is home to fourteen colleges, is ranked as one of America’s top 25 public research universities by the National Science Foundation, recognized as one of Forbes Magazine’s most beautiful campuses, and has been named “Among the top tier of the Best National Universities,” by U.S. News & World Report.
Reaching our Bicentennial milestone did not happen by accident. It was the relentless passion, energy, and tenacity of hundreds of thousands of alumni who have walked this campus – leaving their mark locally, globally, and nationally. It was the drive of countless faculty to push bounds of discovery. Today, our 44,000 undergraduate and graduate students are empowered daily to challenge and change the world. We’re two centuries in, but we are just getting started.
